Why Cellenis® PRP is the Latest Trend in Non-Surgical Aesthetic Treatments

Cellenis® platelet-rich plasma (PRP) is an emerging regenerative treatment being explored for its potential benefits for supporting the body’s natural healing process to refresh and revitalize the skin. It has been thought to reduce the appearance of wrinkles and fine lines, revealing brighter, more youthful-looking skin. If you have under-eye circles (periorbital hyperpigmentation), crow’s feet, and/or wrinkles, Cellenis® PRP may be able to diminish them. (1) By delivering a concentrated burst of growth factors, PRP helps stimulate collagen production, potentially leading to smoother skin and long-lasting rejuvenation.

At Phoenix Skin, our experienced team has helped thousands of patients enhance their appearance with personalized, results-driven care. Our personalized treatments are designed to boost your skin’s collagen levels with natural-looking results. We can also combine PRP treatments with dermal fillers and skin resurfacing treatments to help you achieve smoother, brighter skin. About Cellenis® PRP

Aging can result in fine lines, wrinkles, and laxity that affect your perceived age. Sun exposure, pollution, smoking, diet, and alcohol use can also affect your appearance. (2) Cellenis® PRP uses cutting-edge technology to rejuvenate the skin. With the proteins from your own blood, we can rejuvenate the skin through your body’s own healing capabilities. The growth factors in the treatment may potentially help your body create new red blood cells, increase your collagen levels, and improve skin quality. We purify the plasma to remove impurities that might otherwise contribute to inflammation, lessening the risk of allergic reactions.

Cellenis® PRP vs. Dermal Fillers

Dermal fillers are flexible, injectable formulas that provide natural-looking volume to the skin for a smoother, plumper, more youthful appearance. Although some dermal fillers contain microspheres that raise your skin’s collagen levels, they do not have the regenerative properties of PRP. While PRP does not add volume, it aims to rejuvenate the skin by stimulating tissue regeneration at a cellular level.

Dermal fillers are ideal for patients who want to address volume loss for a more youthful-looking appearance. We offer a variety of injectables designed to treat both superficial and deeper facial tissues for natural-looking volume enhancement. During your consultation, we can discuss the most effective treatment for your specific aesthetic goals.

PRP for Skin Rejuvenation

Genetics, sun exposure, lifestyle, diet, and smoking can all affect the appearance of your skin. Sun exposure accelerates facial aging—a process known as photoaging—leading to wrinkles, fine lines, and uneven texture. Regenerative skincare treatments with PRP can address these changes to refresh your skin and offer beautiful, natural-looking results. We can administer PRP beneath the skin in areas where you would like to address signs of aging, or we can combine PRP with Mironeedling:

  • PRP Microneedling: This treatment combines microneedling with PRP, using fine needles to create micro-injuries that trigger healing, while the PRP enhances the regenerative effects.

PRP for Hair Loss

PRP for hair loss is a highly effective treatment that stimulates the hair follicles to promote new hair growth. Common causes of hair loss include nutritional deficiencies, stress, hormonal shifts, aging, and lifestyle changes. PRP treatments can stimulate the hair follicles, encourage new growth, and deliver lasting results. Unlike hair transplant surgery, which requires surgical extraction, PRP can help you achieve new hair growth without removing hair follicles from a donor area. Since PRP can reduce scalp inflammation, it can also help patients with alopecia areata, which causes hair loss from scalp inflammation. (4)

PRP for Under-Eye Circles

If you struggle with dark circles beneath the eyes, PRP can brighten your eyes, provide natural-looking results, and renew your skin over time by raising collagen levels. By reducing pigmentation and improving skin texture, PRP can help you appear more rested and refreshed. Cellenis® PRP is a multitasking treatment that can help you address these concerns with a single injectable. Over time, injectables can also contribute to increased collagen levels to renew your appearance. (3)

Candidates & Consultation

Suitable candidates for Cellenis® PRP seek nonsurgical treatments to address fine lines, wrinkles, and mild laxity. Most candidates would like to rejuvenate their skin and achieve natural-looking results. During your consultation, we will ask about your medical history, aesthetic goals, and lifestyle to determine the most effective treatment plan for your needs.

We can also discuss combining your treatment with other skin rejuvenation therapies to help you enhance your results.

Preparation

To prepare for your treatment, avoid excessive sun exposure that could damage your skin. You should also take good care of your skin and stay hydrated for optimal results. You’ll receive personalized pre-treatment instructions to ensure the best possible results. Following these closely lays a foundation for an effective treatment and optimal results.

Treatment Process

On the day of your treatment, arrive with clean skin free of makeup or skincare products. We will cleanse your skin and take a small blood sample. It will be spun in a centrifuge to extract the purest plasma to create a powerful, nutrient-rich formula. Depending on the desired treatment, we administer the nutrient-rich serum beneath your skin with a small cannula or syringe or via microneedling. The treatment stimulates fibroblasts–the cells responsible for collagen and elastin production–helping restore firmness and elasticity.

After Your Treatment

Some bruising or swelling may occur, but you can resume normal activities (aside from working out). All patients will receive instructions to follow to ensure a smooth recovery and optimal results. Your aftercare instructions will depend on your specific PRP treatment plan and whether you received additional treatments.

Results

Your PRP results will depend on the treatment area and your personalized plan. If you receive PRP for undereye circles, you can enjoy a brighter, refreshed, more well-rested appearance. If you receive Cellenis® PRP in other areas, you can enjoy a healthy, refreshed appearance. Because PRP works gradually, most patients notice ongoing improvements in skin texture, tone, and firmness over several weeks.

Proper skin care and sun protection are essential for maintaining the results. This treatment is designed to provide enduring results, allowing you to enjoy a smoother, more youthful-looking appearance for an extended period.

FAQ

How long does a Cellenis® PRP treatment take?

The length of your treatment will depend on your personalized plan, the number of areas you would like to address, and the size of the treatment area. Treatments typically last between 60 and 90 minutes, and we can provide an estimate based on your specific treatment plan.

How long does Cellenis® PRP last?

The longevity of your results will depend on the condition of your skin and whether you need additional treatments to achieve your aesthetic goals. You can enjoy lasting results if you avoid excessive sun exposure, which could cause more fine lines and wrinkles to form.

Can I have Cellenis® PRP as a substitute for a facelift?

Although PRP can improve skin quality, it does not provide volume like dermal fillers or address significant skin laxity.

How soon can I return to my regular activities after a Cellenis® PRP treatment?

Most patients can resume daily activities immediately after treatment, although we recommend avoiding direct sun exposure and strenuous exercise for 24 hours.
