Mini Face Lift
When skin starts to sag and lose its elasticity in the lower portion of the face and neck, the mini face lift is a perfect solution for many men and women who are just beginning to experience these signs of aging.
The mini face lift (comparable to the S Lift, Short Scar Face lift or Weekend Face lift) is similar to the traditional face lift but not as invasive or costly. It involves using smaller incisions, as well as smaller stitches to minimize the amount of scarring that develops. During the procedure, a short incision is made in front of the ear, allowing Dr. Laris to re-suspend the tissues under the skin. He then removes the excess skin and re-drapes the overlying skin to smooth out the wrinkles and redefine the jaw line. The result of this cosmetic surgery is a younger, fresher looking face.
The mini face lift procedure takes a little over an hour and recovery time is as quick as just a few days. There is also no general anesthesia involved and bruising and swelling is usually minimal. The mini face lift targets the lower face and upper neck and will not affect the forehead and brow position, the eyelids, or the midface area. For this reason, many patients explore the option of complementing their mini face lift with a blepharoplasty (eyelid lift), brow lift or laser resurfacing in the same setting.
